PRESS REVIEWS

“I’ll be honest: there’s a heck of a lot to like about the Esprit—Wonderfully lively ride feel, competitively light, sharp looks, a good range of customization options, surprisingly impressive house-brand wheels.”

"Without question, the Ritte Esprit was a great bike to ride: quick and eager, remarkably comfortable, competitively light, decently versatile, clean and good-looking, and with a bit of small-brand cachet you won’t get from a bigger label."

—James Huang, Escape Collective

"I've found the esprit to be, in almost all situations, a quietly encouraging bike. There is no doubt it can go faster than I am capable of, but it doesn't beat me about the head and shoulders over it. Instead, the esprit seems to very calmly say, "Hey, man, if you feel like going up a gear or maybe spinning 5 or 10 rpm quicker, that'd be kinda fun. But if you're not feeling it, that's cool, too."

"Until you point it downhill. Then, then, that calm, chill demeanor gets replaced by something altogether different. At that point the esprit turns into a hard charging, rapidly accelerating, wide eyed and bushy tailed hound that's been let loose after that cocky neighborhood squirrel. It's gonna go as fast as it can and your laid back approach to the ride had better be adjusted accordingly."

—Erik Mathy, Cycling Journalist, California

SUPER LIGHT. FAST AS HELL.

We built the Esprit to be light where it counts - quick on its feet, efficient on climbs. Yet stiff where it matters - sudden sprints, precise and unshakeable handling.

The Esprit frame weighs in under 800g in a size Medium. It’s light, of course - but more importantly it’s confidence inspiring, dependable, and has a smooth ride that’s all too rare in fast road bikes.

  • Stable and agile geometry

    CONFIDENT. COMPOSED. CONSISTENT.

Every frame size gets its own distinct geometry and construction. With details like variable fork offsets, chainstay lengths, and bottom bracket drop per size. We’ve made sure that regardless of which size fits you best, the Esprit’s confident and composed handling is consistent for you.

      COMFORT FROM THE GROUND UP

The Esprit is efficient, quick, and comfortable. It glides effortlessly in a way that we’ve always been told carbon can’t do. From a long out of the saddle climb, to a sprint, to roughed up corners the Esprit is smooth. It has the speed, the confidence, and the efficiency you expect from a carbon racer but it has the poise and all day comfort we all dreamt of.

It's 103% better than what you think it will be.

                  One word: solid.

It's fresh like minty toothpaste, healthier than a chocolate chip cookie and too obscenely sexy for the streets in your neighbourhood.

This unicorn is pretty damn kick-ass. It's planted. It goes were you want to go. Fast. Slow. Whatever you feel like. It listens. It nods. It sets you up for a dialogue with your capabilities, not your limits. It's confidence-inspiring. You can do this.

It's 103% better than what you think it will be.

                  Perfect

I've owned a Ritte in one form or another since 2010. This one is undoubtedly the best one I've ridden. It's confusing at first to ride a bike that's so comfortable yet so stiff and fast feeling when you put power down out of saddle. This is the new normal, or it should be.

Customer service is excellent. Elijah has taken the time to quickly answer all my dumb questions, and is seeming unable to annoy. Looking forward to see what they release next!

Simply put, I had no idea a road bike could be this good. The Esprit is at once the most efficient and the most comfortable bike I have ever owned. It rewards your efforts uphill, leaping forward with each pedal stroke on steep pitches. The carbon chassis takes Tom Kellogg's dialed classic road geometry to new heights. Thanks to the frame's ample torsional stiffness, it reacts eagerly and predictably to rider input, without feeling twitchy or unstable--it simply goes where you want it to. But the beauty of the bike lies in its balance. The Esprit's stiffness is complemented by a surprising level of compliance, which is admirably accomplished without overengineered and limiting propriety components. This compliance means that the handling remains predictable and confidence inspiring even on less than perfect road surfaces, handling divots, cracks, corrugation and even gravel with aplomb. The light wheels, integrated handlebar and frameset come together into a beautifully streamlined and cohesive package, displaying quality from the nude carbon finish work to the bottom bracket bearings. In short, the Esprit is a compelling example of the modern road bike--efficient, comfortable, capable on any road (paved or dirt), and thoughtfully designed so that you can enjoy the latest technology without headaches. Coming off a custom titanium frame from Tom Kellogg, I look forward to riding the Esprit for the next decade.

                  Amazing bike and fantastic service

Super smooth process and very professional service in setting up the bike remotely. The team is responsive and competent. The Esprit is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!

                  Well thought out bike

I have assembled and set up my Esprit now and I am very pleased. I installed Red AXS with the OTHR bars and wheels. The internal routing system is fairly painless to set up and features like the split spacers help get the integrated cockpit dialed without undue fuss. My OTHR wheels are light, fast and easy to setup with the tubeless Vittoria 30mm Corsa Control Pro tires. Running brake housings through the integrated bar was also not a problem. It looks good and rides very nice. It does feel quite fast. The customer service was exceptional. I can’t wait to put a bunch more miles on it.
