This Occulto AR was built for a rider looking for comfort and performance over big miles. He'd put in years on the road and gravel and needed something that could adapt to a few fit changes after injuries without losing that crisp handling and performance he'd enjoyed in the past.
Dialing in the Fit, Then Letting It Rip
His previous setup was comfortable enough, but it didn't give him the balanced feel he was after. We worked closely with the rider, factoring in his fit requirements and performance goals, to fine-tune the frame. We focused on keeping the weight distribution spot-on, the handling sharp and responsive, and—most importantly—making sure it felt right for long, demanding days in the saddle.
The outcome? A bike that nails that sweet spot between comfort and performance. Whether he’s tackling multi-day dirt road adventures or epic road climbs in the Colorado Rockies, it's built to go the distance.
The Occulto AR can handle up to 38mm tires, but it shines in the 32–35mm range—perfect for his mixed style of riding.
Smart Spec for the Long Haul
To complement the frame's ride, we specced it with Enve's In-Route High Rise Stem, AR handlebar, and SES 4.5 wheels. For the groupset, SRAM's Force AXS works perfectly with a clutched rear derailleur and wide range gearing to provide the climbing range and keep things quiet over rough terrain.
We paint matched the fork, handlebar, and stem to give the bike a cohesive look and finished off the silver motif with 5Dev's titanium crank arms and a SRAM Red AXS Chainring
