REFINEMENT FOR THE WILD CHILD

The satyr was a mythical forest creature known to the Romans as a woodland spirit (and a bit of a party animal). The embodiment of fun and rowdiness, the satyr was a man built atop the legs of a goat.

Since it's launch the steel-framed Ritte Satyr has been a hit with its beautifully balanced handling and adjustable fork rake, it's well-protected full internal cables and hoses, and big tire clearances.

The titanium-framed SaTir retains all these features and brings the refinement and elegance of titanium to the off-road party.

      Jack of all trades!

My first titanium bike and my first gravel bike. By just being able to swap out the wheels this thing is capable of absolutely anything. Elijah was super helpful on building up the bike to exactly what I wanted. I’ve never felt more locked in and comfortable on a bike like this before!

HUCK TO FLAT (The bike you won't get bored of)

I've spent hundreds of hours on a bike each year, every year, for the past 25 years. Hucking freeride hardtails to flat landings in New England in the early 00's, racing 4x and DH in college, riding hills on fancy road bikes as an "adult", bikepacking long routes, and most recently stringing together Big Stupid Rides on mixed gravel. I feel like I've cycled through bikes as often as I come up with new routes to cycle. I came into the SaTir from most recently spending the majority of my time on a Salsa Cutthroat and a Revel Rascal mtb, with time on a Madone prior. I wanted something that was faster, utterly reliable, and was willing to be brutally underbiked at times.

I met Elijah, RITTE mystic to metal manifestations of motion, at Gravel Locos in 2022. The vision and geometry behind the SaTir made sense to me immediately on paper: a bike with tweaked classic geometry that wanted to get stupid if you were in. We got to talking through my bike build and design almost right away. Elijah worked with me through the entire process, settling on what would make for the fit I was after (a bit higher stack) and component build. He talked me into following what I actually wanted and was patient while I figured that out. I followed my heart to a land of non-subtlety...purples, blues, splatter-anodizing...and light components with am emphasis on long-term utility. I was excited to see it come together, and Elijah kept me in the loop through the build.

Riding this thing is a blast. When I say it's a bike you won't get bored of: I mean it. Riding this on faster group rides has been a blast. In full-on sprints, it comes to life in a different way than other bikes I've spent time on. Best way I can describe it is that the rear feels so BALANCED at high speed. Like it wants to get up and move, but doesn't feel twitchy or harsh. And on my longer rides (10-12 hours in the saddle) it's been comfortable on mixed gravel and 40c tires. Time spent in the saddle and control at speed from the saddle just FEELS RIGHT. Not over-slack steering like some more adventure oriented framesets, but pleasantly quick and PREDICTABLE. The SaTir begs to be underbiked. It can and will shred singletrack, and it will be a blast. It's so damn capable without feeling like it's lying to itself and its identity as a badass gravel machine.
(Side note: the OTHR ANYWHR 40 wheelset has been 100% worthy as well. Light. Compliant. Fast. And holding up splendidly under my 200lb/90kg irresponsible ridership.)

I love my SaTir. It's the most versatile "fast" bike I've ever ridden. Period. And it's fun. That's why you won't get bored of it.

if i could have only one...

...i'm lucky enough to have a handful of nice bikes but if i had to pick only one (god forbid!) it'd be my ti satyr w/ a set of 650b's for the dirt and 700c's for the road.
ps that's my bike in the top pic :)

      The Satyr can do anything

I love this bike. After a string of bad luck on carbon gravel bikes, I saw the Satyr Ti and immediately had to try it out. After 2 seasons on this bike I can say the ride is great and confident, it's perfect for any gravel ride big or small. But what really sold me on the Satyr, was a rocky and rough descent during The Last Best Ride in Montana. I made it down a gnarly steep logging road descent that hit almost 50mph and thought "if this bike can handle that, at those speeds, it can do anything."

A perfect buying and building experience…

Rivaled only by how happy I am with my Satyr 2 Ti. The team at Ritte was friendly, thoughtful and helpful at every turn. They’re quick, if not instant, response to any questions or ideas kept me happily and excitedly involved in the process, every step of the way. And it continues well agreed delivery! My Satyr Ti is better than I hoped it would be. I fall more in love with it on every single ride. Thank you Elijah and everyone at Ritte!
