While many choose to simply change the colors each season, we try to constantly refine. Our V1.0 Race Bib Shorts are something we're super proud of, and V2.0 is even better.

  • We've changed to a softer strap with more stretch and more flex - they sit flatter over the shoulders with a close yet natural fit.
  • The seamless, printed on leg grippers now have a wider spaced pattern that works better for shaved and unshaved legs.
  • The Elastic Interface chamois is now comprised of more recycled materials - the same comfort and performance in a more eco-friendly package.

At Ritte, we've been riding in bibs for a long time. One time, one of us even wore them for too long - don't do that, it doesn't end well. We've been lucky enough to have a lot of great partners making our bibs over the years, but we knew we needed something truly our own. We set out to design a bib that had everything we wanted and manufacture it ourselves.

It had to be supportive when hammering on fast rides, comfortable pedaling during long days in the saddle, and fashionable at the coffee stop. It had to be the pro quality bibs we loved, delivered at a price tag that didn't induce nervous ticks.

After bringing on an athletic apparel expert we began prototyping - from cutting fabrics to testing chamois pads. You've got that one pair of magic bibs where the chamois is always comfortable, right? Chances are high that Elastic Interface are the geniuses behind it (or under it, really), and they've worked up a quick drying, multi density chamois that we built our bibs around.

But it's not just the chamois that matters, it's the whole package. We tirelessly sourced the rest of the fabrics, and built them into a package we can offer directly without huge markups.

We chose Italian milled fabrics for the shorts that allow us to construct the legs with just one seam. Not a typo, there is only one seam and one panel on each leg. Even the gripper is fully integrated, being printed directly into the leg rather than sewn in. These shorts disappear when pedaling, while the compression fabric works silently to keep blood flowing so your legs stay fresh.

The upper features our fully integrated, seamless straps - they're fully ventilated, each made size specific and have no stitching over the shoulders. These straps are attached to a highly wicking mesh on the lower back to keep you cool.

Oh, and because we care about you, we made the leg logos reflective. Using an offset print, they won't peel off or wear out. They're subtle, almost disappearing during the day - yet they light up like strobes as the sun sets. Making the Ritte Race Bibs the perfect companion for all your adventures, all day and all night.

  • High Compression leg fabric to increase circulation, maintain freshness
  • Multi-Density, quick drying, Italian chamois
  • Single seam leg construction for a perfect fit
  • Printed in grippers keep the shorts in place
  • Seamless, highly ventilated straps
  • Reflective logo print

A note on fit - these are a "race" fit bib. They're designed to be compressive, and because of that there should be no loose fabric anywhere, some might call them tight. This fit allows them to mold to your body in a way other bibs cannot, give them a few minutes to settle in. Model is 5'10" and 165lbs with a 32" waist, wearing a size Medium.

Decent compression, low profile straps, A+ chamois

I'm coming into these bibs alongside heavy use of another brand's Pro model (rhymes with Earl, Don't Sue Me). It's not quite apples to apples, since the other bibs I'm wearing aren't as compressive nor designed to be. HOWEVER...they are both marketed as a high-end bib with a high-end chamois. The chamois in the Ritte Race V2.0 feels less bulky and more supportive at the same time. I'd describe it as being more effective at spreading the load. My other bibs seem to crease/bunch/notch or something, but I'd describe it simply as splitting things up down there when I just want to be able to settle on my saddle. The Ritte Race V2.0 bib just works. I don't need to readjust as much or even think about the bibs. I want to forget about my foundational gear while I'm using it, and these bibs disappear. 10/10 Adams recommend.

Race Bib V 2.0

These ROCK! They are so comfortable that they've quickly become my favorite shorts to ride in. The material is thin and comfortable, the leg grippers do a great job keeping the shorts from riding up, and the reflective logo on both legs is very subtle (during the day) and keeps me visible to drivers after sunset, thanks RITTE!! Oh, and the chamois, let just say that the family jewels are never angry after a few hours in these shorts, I cant unfortunately say that for some of my other bibs. Viva V2.0!!!

Even Better than I Expected from Ritte

I've been riding and racing on Castelli Team Issue kit for years and have found them very comfortable, especially in the heat of East Coast summers. Their comfort comes in large part from very thin and light materials which makes the bibs start to bag out within a few thousand miles. The Ritte 2.0 bibs use a material which is somewhat similar to compression Lycra, but a bit lighter and MUCH better at keeping muscles working properly under strain than the Castelli bibs. They do feel somewhat restrictive while getting kitted up, but once on the bike, they just disappear and do what they are designed to do. Ritte's use of the same material for the bib suspenders was a surprise as most bibs use some sort of knit webbing. But again, once on the bike they disappear and do a better job as self adjusting as my position changes than web suspenders do. I'd like the legs to be about 2cm longer, but that is just my style. The leg length has no effect on function since they don't ride up at all anyway. Love them. I ordered another pair.

Needed another pair(or two!)

Perhaps the most elemental bit of cycling gear, the Ritte Race Bibs, more than any bib shorts I have used before, disappear, and stay disappeared on long rides. One seam on each leg, no weird grippers, a supportive, elastic chamois, ventilated well-cut bib material. Nothing weird to report at all. Lusciously understated, yet reflective branding on the legs. Mates well with an assortment of leg and knee warmers. Lovely.

I notice when I'm NOT riding in my Ritte Race bibs. Other shorts make me feel old and broken, make me curse and spit- Ritte Race bibs make me feel 20 years younger. Excellent compression and stretch on the near seamless leg fabric injects extra Class and Panache straight into my suitcase of courage. Ritte, encouraging the very beating heart of the sport.
Seriously, buy two pairs and your life will be even better.
